EXCLUSIVE: GBA Classic Ninja Five-O Announced for PlayStation and Switch | IGN Fan Fest 2024

Ninja Five-O, a much-loved platformer for the Game Boy Advance, is the latest GBA game to be headed for modern platforms.

Announced as part of IGN Fan Fest, it joins Limited Run’s list of games ported using the Carbon Engine — an in-house toolset used to bring a variety of classic games to modern platforms. Previously announced games include Rocket Knight Adventures and Felix the Cat. Check out some of the screenshots in the slideshow below.

First released back in 2003, Ninja Five-O is a “leap back to the good ‘ol arcade days where Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden, and Rolling Thunder were king of the action pack.” It has remained a fan-favorite in the years since, and we listed it at #23 in our list of the best Game Boy Advance games of all time.

As we pointed out in our list, Ninja Five-O was previously one of the GBA’s toughest games to find on the market owing to its limited print run. Now you can play it on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

In addition to the Ninja Five-O announcement, IGN Fan Fest 2024 has also included the reveal of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space release date, a brand-new Spiderwick Chronicles trailer, and lots more. Stay tuned for lots more coverage as the week continues!
